Before you start
You requested a new workspace and Essential Support emailed you a one-time confirmation link — nothing has been created yet. Clicking through and confirming is what actually provisions your workspace, creates your owner account, and signs you into your brand-new console, all in one step.
Confirm your email and create your workspace
- Open the email in your inbox from Essential Support with the subject “Confirm your Essential Support workspace”, sent to the address you entered when signing up.
- Click the button in the email labeled Create my workspace (or copy the link beneath it into your browser). It opens a confirmation page on app.essential.support naming the workspace you are about to create, for example: “Click below to confirm your email and create ‘Acme Support’ at acme.essential.support. This link works once.” Opening this page does not create anything by itself — it is a safe preview screen; nothing is provisioned until you click the button on it.
- Click the button on that page, labeled Create my workspace. It disables itself and shows “Creating your workspace…” while your workspace is being set up — do not click it twice or navigate away while it is working.
- That single click does three things at once: creates your workspace at the subdomain you chose, creates your owner account under the email you signed up with, and signs that account in — there is no separate “set a password” or “verify again” screen.
- You are automatically redirected to your new workspace’s own address (https://yourslug.essential.support) and land in the agent console, already signed in as the owner. See “A quick tour of the agent console” for what you will find there.
Edge cases
- If the link has already been used, or more than a day has passed since you signed up, you will see “This link has expired — please start your signup again.” Go back to app.essential.support and repeat “Create your workspace”.
- If your chosen subdomain was claimed by someone else between your original request and this confirmation, you will see “That subdomain was just taken” and need to start over with a different one — nothing is created in this case.
- If confirming fails for any other reason, you will see a generic “Something went wrong” message with instructions to start over; no partial workspace is left behind.
- Once your workspace exists, this confirmation link cannot be reused — to sign back in later, on this device or any other, use the ordinary agent sign-in flow instead (see “Sign in to your workspace”).
