You can control how you appear to the support team, and which language your support portal uses, from your own profile. This guide covers each field you can change.
Step by step
- Go to your support portal’s address and sign in if you’re not already — see Sign in to the support portal.
- In the top right of the page, click your avatar (your photo or initials) to open the account menu.
- You’ll see your name (and your email address, if it’s different from your name) at the top of the menu. Click Profile.
- This opens your Profile settings. As a customer, this is the only settings section you’ll see — there’s nothing else to configure.
What you can change
Your photo
By default, your photo is pulled from Gravatar (based on your email address), or shows your initials if you don’t have one. To use a photo of your own instead, click Upload photo and choose an image from your device. If the image can’t be read, you’ll see a short error — try a different image file. Once you’ve uploaded one, the button changes to Change photo, and a Use Gravatar button appears if you want to switch back.
Your display name
Edit the Display name field to change the name the support team sees on your messages.
Theme
Under Preferences, choose Light, Dark, or System (matches your device’s setting) to control how the portal looks. This applies immediately on the device you’re using. Tick Apply to all my devices if you want the same choice to follow you when you sign in elsewhere; leave it unticked to set it just for this device.
Language
Use the Language dropdown to choose which language the support portal is displayed in, or leave it on Automatic (browser) to match your browser’s language setting. Tick Apply to all my devices to save this choice to your account so it follows you everywhere you sign in; leave it unticked to set it just for this device. If the support team has automatic translation turned on, this is also the language your account is associated with for translating their replies to you.
Saving your changes
Click Save at the bottom of the Profile window. It briefly shows “Saving…”, then confirms with “Saved”. If something goes wrong, you’ll see a short error message instead — try again in a moment.
