Configure the chat widget

Once the widget is live on your site, a handful of settings control how it looks and where it’s allowed to run — all on the same Widget tab you used to set it up.

Where to find these

Click the gear icon, then in the left-hand Settings navigation choose Channels, then open the Widget sub-tab. These options only appear once Enable the widget is on — see “Add the chat widget to your website” if you haven’t turned it on yet.

Button label

The Button label field controls the text shown on the floating button (default: “Support”), up to 30 characters. It saves automatically when you click away from the field — there’s no separate save button for this one.

Position

The Position dropdown places the button Bottom right (default) or Bottom left on every page that loads the widget. Changing it saves immediately, no extra click needed.

Preview

The Preview box beneath these fields is a live mock of your button using the current label and position — it’s a preview only, not a clickable control, and updates as you edit the fields above it.

Allowed website origins

This list is required for the widget to actually open its form on any site — the button can render without it, but the form won’t. Enter each origin as scheme + host, no path and no trailing slash (e.g. https://www.yourcompany.com) and click Add. Click Remove next to any entry to revoke it — do this immediately if you decommission a site that used to embed the widget.

Branding

The widget’s accent color and heading color follow your workspace’s Branding settings automatically — there’s no separate color picker on the Widget tab itself. Change your brand colors under Settings → Branding and the widget picks them up the next time it loads.
