Overview
Essential Support can notify you two ways: a push notification on this device when a ticket needs you, and a daily email summarizing what’s open, waiting, and recently closed. Both are opt-in, per agent.
Device push notifications
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Profile.
- Select the Communication sub-tab.
- Under Push notifications, check Notify me on this device.
- Your browser prompts you to allow notifications — allow it.
- If you see “This browser doesn’t support push notifications,” push isn’t available in your current browser.
- On an iPhone or iPad, you’ll instead see a prompt to install the app to your home screen first (Share → Add to Home Screen) — push only works from the installed app, not a regular Safari tab.
- This setting is per device: repeat it on each device where you want notifications, and turn it off on a device individually to stop them there.
Daily digest email
- In the same Communication sub-tab, find Daily digest email.
- Check Email me a daily digest.
- Set Send at to the time of day you want the email, in your local time.
- Set Time zone if it isn’t already correct.
- Under Count, choose All tickets in the workspace or Only tickets assigned to me.
- Under Include in the digest, check any combination of: a one-line daily summary, open tickets needing attention now, open tickets waiting for later, and tickets closed since the last digest.
- Click Save at the bottom of the Daily digest email panel.
Good to know
- Push and the daily digest save independently — each has its own Save button.
- The daily digest email’s links sign you in directly, with no extra sign-in step, if this device already holds your account’s active session.
- If a workspace hasn’t configured push notifications, the Push notifications section doesn’t appear in Communication at all — only the daily digest will.
